Jason Lewis

Jason Lewis is the co-founder of Just HR, a Japan-based executive search firm specialising in HR leadership roles. Originally from Canada, and with more than 25 years of experience in Japan, Jason has built a career centered around people and leadership. He began his journey in southern Japan working as a teacher, before transitioning into training and development –sparking his lifelong passion for HR. 

Since 2008, Jason has focused on HR executive search and recruitment. He has held senior leadership roles at notable companies like en world group, Allegis Group, ChapmanCG, and more. Jason has successfully managed large teams across Japan and APAC, driven major business turnarounds, and supported organisations in hiring and developing high-impact HR talent. He is also a certified coach with the Leadership Circle.

Jason’s strengths lie in executive search, strategic advisory, market intelligence, and cross-border talent acquisition. He is known for delivering these services with a unique blend of strategic insight, warmth, and a deep respect for cultural fit.

Outside of work, Jason is a proud husband and father of three, as well as a dedicated ice hockey coach.
