Compliance Manager

Overview

Our client is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing a global corporate compliance program in collaboration with compliance and business teams worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the global compliance program and create/update compliance policies and procedures
• Perform risk assessments, conduct compliance monitoring, and review/suggest improvements to the compliance program
• Manage engagements with external legal counsel and stay updated on new compliance-related developments
• Generate reports on significant compliance issues for the Audit Committee and contribute to special projects for developing the global compliance strategy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a compliance role and proficiency in English and Japanese
• JD/legal qualification is a plus and thorough knowledge of global compliance-related laws and matters
• Strong analytical, written, and oral presentation abilities and interpersonal skills
• High ethical standards and professionalism, proactive, team-oriented, and self-motivated
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to travel as necessary
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model
