Hiroshi Kurosaka is a principal consultant specializing in senior-level searches across the legal, compliance, and risk functions in Japan, with more than 20 years of experience in the Tokyo market.

He focuses on leadership and specialist hiring across multinational corporations and major Japanese companies, supporting searches ranging from general counsel and functional leadership roles to senior specialists. In recent years, his work has expanded to cover the broader governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) landscape, advising clients on integrated hiring needs across compliance, risk management, and internal control functions.

In 2014, Hiroshi co-founded Just Legal, a specialist legal search boutique in Tokyo, where he helped build the firm’s platform supporting legal and compliance leadership hiring in Japan. Just Legal expand to become Just Search Group, broadening the firm’s capabilities to include cross-functional leadership hiring, including senior HR roles.

Earlier in his career, Hiroshi helped establish the Tokyo office of Talent2, an Australia-headquartered recruitment firm, where he served for approximately seven years as co–country manager. During this time, he supported the growth of the firm’s Japan business across multiple corporate functions, with a particular focus on legal and compliance hiring for multinational and internationally oriented Japanese companies. Prior to that, he worked at Hudson Global Resources, specializing in legal recruiting in Tokyo.

Hiroshi graduated from Seattle University and began his professional career in the United States before returning to Japan. Drawing on experience across international organizations, Japanese corporate environments, and startup settings, he brings a bilingual and bicultural perspective to complex search assignments involving both global and domestic stakeholders.

Today, he works closely with selected clients on executive and senior-level search assignments across the legal, compliance, and risk functions in Japan.
